I'm looking to get a graphics card off eBay or online that will run Call Of Duty 2 and all the latest games very sweetly.

 

Had some advice but looking through eBay i cant make my mind up. Want it to be a either a 6600 or 6800 GT i think would prefer 256mb ram but would settle for 128.

 

What do you guys suggest, links are goooooood :D

Yeah had a look at that thread today, just finding what make etc is the problem now.

defo go for 256MB...128 is just not enuff...

tbh honest , i have radeon card 9800pro , but as i have agp port for graphics, not worth buying new agp card anymore, as it runs everything no problem at all, , if you have new pcie motherboard for graphics then go with an nvidia based card, as youve already said , 66gt or 68 are among the best , but you wont beat sli mode for price unbealveable performance, two cards on one motherbaord, , it all depends on what nmotherboard your using, post that up and ill give you more advice from there,

dont expect a 6600gt to run CoD2 well, its playable on mine, but its not good. you want a 6800GT at least, preferably a 7800

you could have two of these running together or if you have a bugget try any other of there cards. for geforce cards these are at the top IMO and they have free 24 hours help lines and a lifetime garentee.

 

p.s you might already know but pci-express is the best at the moment

just a shame, about the price, plus the speed technology is moving forward this thing will be beaten by another card in 6 nnths on price and speed, fact!

a 9800XT is not even close to the performance of a 6800GT

for ur budget id get the 6600GT

 

but if u can stretch to a 6800GT then do so
