When i come to the car first thing the clutch is fine...bite point at the floor and lots of pressure at the bottom of the travel. However, after driving and obviously using the clutch for a while the bite point rises to the top of the pedal travel and eventually the pedal stops and the clutch isn't engaged properly hence it rides.
Now, when i bleed the clutch to relieve this problem it does improve but the bite point is NOT at the floor. Its half way down the pedal. but if left overnight, again the clutch bite point returns to immediately off the floor and the clutch is fine.
Next sypmtom is that when the clutch is depressed it feels squishy if u know what i mean, not totally pressurised. Its almost as if i can feel air moving about inside it.
Now, i've bled the slave, master and the pipey thing at the front of the engine bay and it doesn't seem to want to move.
Previous to the master cylinder seals being replaced the clutch operation was perfect all it did was leak fluid down the back of the pedal into the car.
So i'm a tad confused, how can the clutch and the slave suddenly be faulty if the system was working fine up until the master cylinder seals were replaced?
Any ideas PLEASE get in touch cos if i had any hair left - i'd be ripping it out!!
Thanx again guys for all the help you been giving me, its a tad annoying having to bleed the clutch everytime i drive the damn thing!!
Hey guys, the knight rider again!!
