I've seen a lot of rear panels illuminated and just fancied something a bit different, so i've photoshopped up an idea i had... i can make this no problem, and obviously it'd look better then this, but just wanted opinions really..

 

the font for the TT can be changed and i even thought about making the reversing lights round and offset??

 

the carbon look migth be a bit much but might work..

 

so what does everyone think?

Got to admit mate - it's a bit chavish unless your car is covered in graphics like the Sumo Power R34 Skyline.

 

But it's personal preferrence in the end of the day.

yeah maybe, maybe lose the carbon background and just stick with the logo, keep it original as posible just with a change of logo.

I also don't understand people's fascination with fake carbon, or the general 'carbon look'. On some cars, a carbon bonnet looks good. But very rarely. Most tend to fit carbon panels, not because of their weight saving properties, but 'because it's carbon innit'.

trouble with having that on your back, is it doesnt fit in with anything, your lights are going to look odd and the TT looks to much like an audi thing

i thought about the carbon to make it easier for me to make, no worries about lighting it as i've made a lot of illuminated skyline panels to great effect... maybe the carbons too much...

 

the font might not be the best tho....

 

i'll go back and have another look, altho i think i will be doing something along these lines...

I think it looks pretty awful as well, sorry :( .

 

However I don't mind the carbon surround - maybe use real carbon fibre sheet rather than the "lookalike" stuff and leave the logo completely off and it could look OK. ;)

TBH even though everyone has different preferrance, i think it looks ok , is this just a one off experiment for yourself or will you be offering different options eg logos, etc to peeps who are interested in buying one cheerz

I dont like it, but i think you may be onto something.

If it was carbon fibre and the tail lights matched it might look pretty good. Would suit a crazy kitted zed best.

 

The font is all wrong though.

If you could make a much smaller font in not too dramatic style, with "fairlady Z " on it in a more subtle colour ..............that would be kinda cool. ;) .

nah its just for me nad300, i do sell skyline rear panels but its just an experiment.. i know a lot of people have the illuminated rear panel on their Z's but i want something different..

 

its always hard to get the true effect using photoshop, the colour and lustre of the letters are all wrong to be honest, the leds i use are stunning and do the bizness...

 

i'll have a rethink, and see what i come up with, the main reason for the carbon is its potentially easier to create the effect, and also easier to alter the design should you choose.. plus it'd be straightforward to do the FULL back end as well, altho i dunno if thats what i'd like...

p.s yeah could easily do that chewie, altho i think you're limited to the colour you an have on the bac of the car, it has to be red or orange i believe, unless its a factory fitted option... plus the pic is NOTHING like the red i use to be fair, heres a pic of the skyline panel as it looks with the same leds...
