sounds like alot of people would be interested in these adapters if someone was to make them?

Too right.

I did PM Smithy about some but not had a reply yet.

On this subject, I’m on a limited budget, but scared by my standard brakes after little bit of putting my foot down, would these make a difference over the standard setup?

I know the seller, Dan - top bloke who won't mess you around

Yes they'll make a big difference :)

Cheers!

Nissan300; why did you opt for the 350z discs over, for example, the DBA discs? Is there a big difference?

Have your calipers overhauled/serviced before purchasing a bigger brake setup, or when you get these fitted. Its very common for the Calipers to have sticking pistons.

For the price it is pretty good, obviously don't forget to add the cost of some decent pads to it though ;)

Personally IMO as the disc is only 16mm bigger than stock and using brembo blanks, it really is more suited to the lighter S13 giving it the biggest jump in disc size, but then am biased towards to my own big brake kit which is reasonably priced and gives the maximum amount of disc size available :D

Graham, fraid I only do my own caliper brackets which are designed to suit the kit I do and even then I get 30 sets manufactured at atime to make it worthwhile

Will do! They are ok around town, just not so good when hot

Smithy,

When you weight the cost of pads, slotting and extra size, your one’s do look equally tempting

But for £450 if I were to use my stock callipers, is the anything else that I have to buy?

Just puzzled by the ‘Calliper mounting brackets and hardware are also available separately at a cost of £80’

No mate thats it, you get new pads, new decent discs from the skyline GTR range, Brackets and bolts. I offer the brackets and bolts seperate for anyone not wishing to buy the entire kit thats all ;)

cheers

Smithy what is the difference between the DBa discs and the 350z ones mate?

Also im completely non-mechanically minded so do you have any idea how much it would be to fit your big brake kit once purchased?

Hi mate, well 1st the fitting, would fully expect a garage to have em on in around 2 hours, it's not hard nor technical, You unbolt caliper and lift up outta the way, remove old discs and shroud, fit new discs, fit the brackets with new bolts supplied, remount calipers with new bolts supplied and then fit the pads, so any half decent garage can sort it for yer.

350Z discs, the track model uses brembo 324mmx30mm discs same as the GTR and Brembo calipers from the GTR34, The road/base model am not sure on.

The DBA Discs and the 3G discs i now supply, are simply Skyline GTR 33/34 fitment aftermarket discs and designed for even better braking. The 350 I believe uses a slightly different offset Hub compared to the Skyline though, so am told ;) Second hand 350z brembo discs may crop up from time to time, but it is very rare... either way any disc bigger than 290mm you want to fit on the Zed, should require some kinda bracket to re locate the calipers.

hope that helps

cheers

nice one Smithy, that clears a lot of things up for me - i will likely be investing in some bigger brakes once i have hot a couple of niggles sorted!! cheers

I'm probably going to bit the bullet and go for your ones, just need to check the pennies!

3g BIG brake conversion and porterfield pads very inexpensive compared to most and very very good .....also dont forget to uprate your brake fluid and service your calipers
