Hi, had a Z for a few months now, thought I had better sign up and start posting :) I have a '93 NA SWB Manual (I'm told its quite rare?) Don't know anything about it, other than it needs a new engine!

My other motor is an SW20 MR2 Turbo, runs about 580 at the wheels so far, not bad for a four-pot :)

Welcome. SWB manual NA.....Good choice. :D

Thats the weirdest rear end ive ever seen! ;)

Hi mate. Welcome to the club. Has that car got round rear lights? Looks strangely familiar... I saw one very like it on autotrader back towards the beginning of the year. Fresh import from Japan. Might not be the same one though, I'm not sure if the wheels aren't different.

welcome

Thats the one with the rear corvette lights isnt it???

Certainly sounds like the same car.

The other thread would put it as happening on the 15th May 2005.

Well... that's a history for you. When did you get it? I pretty sure yours is the autotrader car. Was up for £7k and advertised as having 400 bhp.

August 4th

pmsl 400bhp, I think its standard apart from exhaust and filter. Cost me a damn sight less than 7k also ;)

Question is how long the previous owner had it. He got shot of it pretty quick since it was on Autotrader for a good 4 - 6 weeks around the January - March time.... probably couldn't afford to run/maintain it. Interesting that you say it needs a new engine. There are plenty of people on here who can help you out with that kind of thing, so you're in the right place. Best of luck with it.

 Good job too if it needs a new engine!

I think I saw that motor in Blackpool last summer I remember a lot of noise but couldnt make out what it was from the distance. I then reconised it as a zed but with a strange boot and lights (thats what kept it in my memory). Whoever it was it was being driven as if it was on a drag strip!

I can go better than that, car was origonally sold by wonderful auto in the land of the rising sun :p

Welcome,

From the pics it looks like tailgate has been welded and filled, so you no longer have a boot..or is it just the pic ?

Looks great though !

From the look of the signature picture it's bein driven sideways on there! look at the tyre tracks on the road

hmm well spotted, i never even noticed it was on a roundabout :p Good drifting there :D

Bloody hell mate, what's the spec on the MR2?!! That's a hell of a lot of power from a 2litre.

Oh yeah, welcome to the forum :D
