Thats it.. I'm ready to burn the f*cking thing, again

It absolutely pisses coolant (it is coolant) out of the bottom. It's running down the bell housing, and onto the floor, so it's from just left of centre at the back of the engine

But I'll be f*cked if I can see where it's coming from, let alone get my hand to it.

I guess when it expired, it blew some hose that's impossible to see.

Well f*ck it. I'm through spending money on this heap of shit.

Does anyone want to offer me something for it? For breaking or fix, you'll have to get it taken away on a flatbed.

1989 Jap import, 45k miles, cambelt has been done, uprated autobox cooler fitted, underdrive pulley set, painted engine covers, steel braided fuel lines, 90% silicone coolant & vacuum hoses, stainless boost hoses, stainless radiator hoses. Leather interior (needs a retrim).

Only mechanical problem (that I know of) now is this coolant leak from some mysterious place on the back of the engine. Maybe one of the hard pipes. Engine out job to fix I believe.

Az mate - jesus you have been thru the shit haven't you.

I'll give ya 10 quid for the car mate wink.gif

Seriously if my memmory serves me correctly you have several links in the pipes coming from the turbocharger on the Passanger side

You have the Feed and return pipes basically which attach to the front and back of the turbo (Looking at it from the side on) The feed line goes straight up and then goes forward directly above the exuast manifold - If my memmory serves me this has one fairly straight rubber coolant hose that connects the turbo feed to the feed from the block.

The Return goes up and then round the back of the block in the general direction of the EGR - this has a rubber hose that is shapped round about a 90 degree bend.

I have a nasty feeling that there is another rubber hose involved somewhere also but my memmory has diserted me today - I will have a look this weekend for ya if you want.

If you want to check the feed line to the turbo you should be able to get to it by removing the lower low pressure intake hard pipe ( Intake to turbo) and gettin a bit or wirig out the way.

Running Turbos without coolant - not something i would do on turbos that are designed to run with it ! however i know of a fair few people over here that are doing it and SE have been know to do it when people have been haveing over heating problems - Keep the boost to a sensible level and you will probably be ok mate.

You dony wanna try droppin the tranny in a single garage mate - Trust me !

I recently did the drivers side turbo coolant pipe without removing anything apart from the cruise control activator.

For the passenger side, your best bet is to pull the battery out, cut the old bastard pipe in half or as many pieces as necesary & it'll be easier to get off. Remove the clips with some small needle nose pliers. Replace with a new pipe but make sure you put some wd40 in the pipe as this'll make fitting easier. Also do away with those crappy hose clips & use jubilee clips instead!

It can be done, the passenger side should be easier!

Shaun

Nissan replaced my passenger side turbo coolant hose which had split and only charged 1 hours labour for it. £74 inc Vat, new hose, new clips, coolant etc.
