Just noticed that the post counting has gone..

Maybe not an abuse of the whole system, but its certainly an abuse of costly bandwidth ;)

I am not very conversant with the inside story of web hosting.

im not very p.c compatible, i didnt know that posting so much wafle coulkd upset the working of this club (due to technology probs)

 

if i had known then i would not persist with such threads

 

but like vini says, insted of just doing for the own sakes of a fwe memebers maybe they should put it to vote, it is a democracy at the end of the day

It's still there - just not so in yer face. The Z Club have recently gone down the same route and it's a great idea IMO.

 

You can still see at a glance how long someone has been a member and surely this gives a better indication of "how serious" someone is rather than how much crap they've posted.

yup join date is still there which is a better indication of how serious a member is, IMHO a member who gets his post count up to 1000 by "whoring" and being a member for 1 month is less serious than a member of 4 years with a post count of 100

I noticed that you can still click on the user name and see what posts he/she has got. So thats ok for those that are bothered. I have got a lot of posts to my name but i dont think I have very often posted to get my count up. My story lies in my job. I get in from work still buzzing and come on here to wind down. Sometimes finding myself wound up. But thats another story. The result of my early morning posting is a lot of threads posted througout the evening need answering. But I am truley not bothered about the post count meter being there or not. It did cause some funny threads though. N'mind eh?

it has its pro's and cons, like most things, who is to say what is right and what is wrong

 

its just my opinion thats all, ive seen some members post on here that has been joined for a long time and contributed nothing but opinions, and they only have 100 posts to thier name, whereas ive seen some only joined for about six months and have contibuted a lot of info (and not just zed related), but they hace lots of posts

 

but if that is the way its gonna be then i will have to put up with it unfortunately

I wouldnt really call what was contributed an opinion, more like a sulky comment because his toys are being taken away.

most people genuinely like to chat about the cars or non related subjects in all aspects.. Some people don't, they just like tech info. A minority post absolute shite...consistently.

 

As already said,Zclub have a new system, 1'st gear, 2'nd gear . I'm not sure weather this is going on post count or time in the club though.

Couldn't care less mate, why was i not PM'd, warned, told to curb it? No you would rather take 12 complaints and do nothing! Or does it make you feel big being able to single me out and name me?! Does it make you feel hard being a keyboard warrior? Just because you are behind a keyboard doesn't make you invincible! Why do this? You could have PM'd me, shit i would have phoned you or let you phone me to talk about it!

 

I really don't think it's fair singling me out, and tbh if i didn't have better things to do i would dig up some dirt on you and go public! I do not come on here to cause offence, upset anyone, i just want to be part of this online community (online eastenders) and learn something about the z32 as i have every intention of buying one one day. TBH if i have to deal with people like you during ownership I might buy something else!
