hi there, got a water leak on passengers side foot well. it is leaking on to the floor mat,are the heater hoses in this area and it is coolant as the rad needs topping up, is this a crap job or is it not too bad, any suggestions on this one please, cheers woody

can be done with the dash in but recommendations is to remove it.

fairly big job but if you can handle without a heater for the winter a tempory job is to bypass the matrix

if you remove the dash then about 6/7 hours, if you don't then about 4 hours and a severe PITA to do.......if you've a manual box, auto is a bit easier.

 

probably the best thing to do is search the site.plenty of info knocking about

how much do you reckon one of our garage boys would charge to do this job, and by the way i am sitting down

Zedworld charge approx £350 for auto and £450 manual as theres more bits to take off, i did mine couple yrs ago got a matrix made from rad specialist for £100 and put it in myself mines a auto so a bit easier, however at the time i never new that with auto you dont have to strip dash can take it out from footwell, do a search/faq you will find more details.
