Not trying to sound funny, but have you checked the nut that holds the wiper arm to the shaft? Make sure thats tight.

yeah. both are tight seems to be something to do with connection to the motor

Failing that, you'll have to take the scuttle panels off, and check the mech underneath, make sure nothings come adrift.

Bit of a Nissan thing this mate, either that or i've been unlucky with me past 3 cars :D remove the scuttle panels and you will see the control arms, switch yer wipers on and you should see which one has disconnected it self.

These are held in place by a plastic ball and clip type thinghy ;) nissan sell em and yer probably best getting new clips etc for the scuttle panels if you've bust em. Mike feeney (mjp) can supply as well i guess.

Oh i just got a new control arm, so much easier to re-fit that way.

If it's both at same time, chances are where the linkage is held onto the motor on the passenger side, it's come of it's coupling there, plastic ball and cap type thinghy ;)
