guys my best mate has been so stupid,

he has a 2.0 litre turbod polo est 200 at the wheel.

he wanted to get it insured after getting it modified.

when he came out of the garage he got stopped by the police. :headvswal

he had no insurance everything else was ok,

after he went straight home and insured it. now when he gives a producer what will they check how do they check the insurance? :slap:

Featured Replies

they will check the time the producer was issued and cross reference this with the documents produced, so the insurance will have a start time and date, so he's buggered !!!!! :headvswal

Oh dear thats not good, sounds to me like he will get 6 points and a fine :(

Not what he wants on a modified polo with 200bhp at the wheels, he might as well sell his polo on the forum for £60 plus to cover his fine and buy a Metro untill his insurance becomes reasonable again. IMHO

The insurance cert will have the time and date that the insurance is taken out!!

Sorry, but yer mates in the poop!

It all depends on if the person who fills in the horty2 (its an a4 bit of paper and which is filled in and the first horty is stuck to)(the first horty is your producer).

Basically the only way you will get off with it is if the lady who deals with your friend doesn't fill in the time on the form. It has happened before (yes for me).

If i was your friend i'd try and get in when the stations is very busy that way the person doing it may miss it as they are so busy

I would not recommend hanging around in the cop shop untill it gets busy though, its bad enough having to go there anyway.

He might have poo'd out there mate. Someone had this problem not long ago. Not sure how it turned out in the end.

Still one concellation if he gets banned he wont have to drive a polo about.

Sorry mate had to be said. LOL.

as an aside - where di he get the polo done? cos iv got a mate of a mate thats supercharged his and it shifts!

Ask Them To Back Date It

I work for an insurance company (More than if anyone wants to know) and there's a fix on our systems that doesn't allow us to backdate cover, If it was our error (and this is proved in our notes etc) then it is possible to do however the certificate must be done by our customer support team (admin) and if they or an insurance company gets it wrong and does backdate cover the fines are in the millions from the FSA (Financial Services Authority) who now govern all insurance.
