oopppssss.....didnt realise sorry bud :mac1:

Although being a motorcyclist a lefty is the least of your worries really...its them fookin careless car drivers thats a problem ;)

Always like the vettes but saw a bloke in a viper nearly kill himself doin an overtake when I was younger and that put me off leftys for life otherwise id of had an intergralle or M3 original :(

Nooooooooooo.....have another bud :duffer:

My mate has a Vette, same year I think. It's a hoot, though I've not driven it myself. Surprisingly good at handling for a Yankmobile, but Zed's are practical people-carriers by comparison!

I say give it a drive and see what you think...

You have got to ask yourself why do they want to swap?

The answer is because you have a lovely Zed that is probably in better condition than an '84 vette.

IMHO

Ive had a 1979 vette and its hard work and can be expensive to keep in proper un molested condition, Personally i would not touch the 1983 onwards models as they dont have the same aggressive style of the old ones IMHO :D

As for left hand drive its easy and quite natural to drive.

ive had loads of yanks and ive got a Z now maybee the guy fancies a change ? :D

My mate has had several Vettes starting with a C4 of similar age.

Pros

===

V8 sound

Head turning looks

Cool digital dashboard

Cons

====

Poor Handling (NOTE: grip = fantastic, handling = poor!)

Chassis quite bendy (it twisted noticably going up his driveway)

Low power. Despite the V8, that age of Vette only makes 250ish BHP.

Glass roof is a pain to remove (and weighs a ton)

Left hand drive (difficult to overtake on single carridgeway, car park tickets, etc.)

UK conversions (e.g. rear lights and fog) detract from looks.

I'd stick with the 300 if I were you. Now the C5/C6, that's another matter!

Ian A.

If it's in good running order i would go for it t-pot. You can always pick up another zed. Hard to find another corvette. I've always had a soft spot for them.

mmmmmmmmm, stingray! love those!

stick with the zed till you find something a little bit more special bud - like a stingray, or better year vette.
