I need help

Went to get falkens fitted the other day and when they were put on it left about 0.5' gap between the rim and the tyre. I have 19' 265/30 toyo proxies on at the moment and the falken was definatley the same 19' 265/30 but the guy wanted me to sign a waver if I left with the new tyres.

I ended up putting the old "slick" ones back on and driving miss daisy home!

Does anyone know why the tyres wouldnt fit? I checked myself and the falken definatly was printed with the right tyre size! :headvswal

I need the tyres changed asap and wondered if anyone has had this problem before?

too wide or too narrow? either way it would be ok, perhaps not desirable though. how wide are the rims?

Tyres were too narrow!

Rims Im sure he said were 10'. what I cant understand is why the toyos fit and there supposed to be the exact same size? :headvswal

ok without seeing the tyres on the rims i need you try and describe where the gap was i know this sounds silly but i used to be in the tyre trade

There seemed to be a gap at either side!

But too much for it to "seal" to when driving! The guy said that it may be alright but as I stated wanted me to sign a waver!

could be where the tyre has collapsed towards the centre ot the mould this will normally reform its shape when inflated to the correct pressure

sorry mate im thick!

Dont really know what you mean. He had inflated them fully and thats when there was this gap.

Reason im worried is cause i was going to order tyres from my tyres and if they are not the right size then I dont know if I will be able to send them back!

The toyos fit perfect though but the falkens didnt look safe at all.

stretched tyres, like this? :p

loads of the european modders run tyres like that, so i guess its allright.

not sure how the tyre had sealed if there was a gap did the fitter to a wter dip test to see if the beads were leaking ?? other than that im not sure what to say

also you are best off gettingyour tyres from a reputable dealer not ordering them offline imho

na he never water tested them but there was defo a gap!

Dunno mate just need to try another type I think and see if thats any better!

sods law!
