Like them all, can barely notice any visual difference between a LWB and SWB unless you look carefully, but the LWB is far more praticle for me and if I wanted a 2-seater I would buy a much smaller lighter sports car. :x:

Has to be Targa, even if the Slicktop is stiffer.

defo the 2+2 imo

My dream Z is the 'version R' model - I think that was a 2+2 only.

Agreed, larger rims of similar design are needed though.

i like one that doesnt break down

That will be an NA then??

BTW where is the 240Z option on this poll??

Cos that's my fav, and without its success we wouldnt have the Z32 tody!

swb manual tt with T-bars. in Black. with full factory leather. All in 99 spec.

That's the baby!

Agreed regarding the wheels.

I wonder what one would cost if an import place bought one over?

your car was mentioned on a thread I started recently at Zclub about 99spec imports. there was some good info given about it. A search under 99spec should bring it up for you ;) sorry , i'm not too good at links.

Same as mine but none of the 99 spec stuff yet. But sould have early next year. ;)

I like them all....its a Zed after all....but a 2+2 was my first choice,would like a convertible some day too :D

Not that i'm being greedy or anything...LOL

afaik you cant import a 99spec because theres no type approval documents available, so it wont pass an SVA

edit - just looked, and thats right, means we're going to have to wait till 2009 to bring any in, which is a shame.

Can you guess what i voted :D

I do like the 2+2's a lot, I really like the SWB targa's but in my mind, a perfect 300zx is SWB with a tin roof!!

I just want mine finished now! :(

There are several 99spec and 2000spec zeds in the country...and recently too. I believe they are all NA's though, so the documents must be there for the NA at least.

Sorry Chunkle but in the exact order of the poll for me

Having had a 2+2 targa, AND a SWB slick top, I've gotta say I much prefer the shortie - so I voted for that.

However, my favourite image of a Z is this 2+2 in white (and I usually don't like white Z's!):-

Type approval applies to the later 99spec cars as they are the same car with no standard power increase and any extra features on the 99 spec cars are concidered as safety revisions.

You will not find a SVA spec for a 99 fairlady because as far as the MOT are concerned its the same car, ie. a type Z32 Nissan and the 99 spec is seen rather like the difference between a Mondeo L and a LX.

Also in 2002 I was out bid for a 2001 Black 2+2 99spec Z32 with dark red Factory fitted Leather and ancara interior. It was in the UK. SVA'd, had 18" multi spoke split rims and 5600K on the clock. It sold ford £30K and believe me it is out there. Proberbly in someone collection. I bid up to £25K and lost

What's the difference between a SWB & a SWB Slicktop then? I thought there were only 3 types, SWB, LWB & Convertible

A SWB slicktop has a metal roof ie no removeable targa panels ;)
