As you all though, around the xmas period there was a lot of cold weather which called for lots of Anti freeze. So I decided to mate sure the Z was not thursty in any department when I get the beady eye from the wife as she's standing in the upstair window pointing to her rover. Hence, make sure mine is ok.
So, following the usual pattern of doing nothing for the wife, got the rovers lid up and started to check everything. When I finally got round to the radiator water, I thought, "I know - I'll take the bottom hose off, as you do, drain the water and fill up as normal with the new blue juice".
However, upon inspecting the hoses, they didn't look to healthy and decided not to disturb them without making sure that I could get some spares. Well, I couldn't be arsed to call rover but I needed to get some water out of the reserve so that I could get the antifreeze in.
So, what is a man to do? I couln't detach a smaller pipe from the top. That would make a mess. So, I went in to the kitchen to see what I could find.
After much drawer rummidging, I finally found the wife poultry baster, and promptly went out a sucked the excess water out of the reserve. Neighbours much have thought that I had lost it when they saw me giggling to myself.
Anyone else used any weird contractions whilst working on their car?
