does the deet sensor cause the ecu to go to safety boost if so how much to get it changed is it something that can be done myself arghhh my zed is slowly dieing around me

why is that??

 

most aftermarket chips dont have a seperate ignition mapping for if its detting, so the ignition doesnt get retarded.

a boost controller will bypass the boost solenoids so you have no safety boost either!

 

if you havnt upped your boost & you use good quality fuel then chances are you wont det! if you know what it sounds like then you can hear it.

so what happens if you get det with a boost controller and aftermarket chip

i would personally use a Knock Link which gives you a visual display in the car. i cant believe more people on here dont use them TBH :confused:
