PS2 advice

can someone tell me if the playstation2 is multi region , as i want to know if i buy some US dvd's will they play on the PS2?? as the dvd's are region 1 ??

    Nope, sure there only UK/Euro compatable, well thats if its a UK machine

    they only made the very first ps2 multi region but you had to select the regeion manually all others are just europe region 2

    there is a disk called freeloader which lets you play any regeion games or you can buy an action replay that comes with the freeloader both are made by Datel and are cheap on ebay
