Ok, i just come back from the shooping centre were i ran into a friend of mine!

 

She apparently is going out with some guy who apparently runs 28psi on his Renault 5 GT Turbo and i just cant seem to calculate how hes managing that from a lawnmower of a engine, im sure he should have blown the damn thing up by now!

 

Guys.............is that possible or financially viable?

It's financially viable if he's a footballer (shit loads of money no brain) but tbh unless he has had the engine cast in diamond i doubt it!!

the engines in the r5 gt turbo will stand alot of pressure

I know 20psi is perfectly possible on those, but 28 seems a little high to me.

My mates 1.6 rs turbo runs at 24psi

What would his chances be compared to a Zed, iv had a GT5 (tuned) off the line in my zed so what would someone like him do to me!

Even if it was quicker it stops at 120 - 130 i believe...the zed is like a duracel in comparson, it just keeps on going!

If he did pull up to me, it would most likely be at some traffic lights, wouldint there be alot of wheelspin from a car like that rolling off the lights!

i think a fiat punto gt turbo maxes out at 22 psi. although its not just about pressure, its airflow too ;)

Yeah in the dry he'd have to control the power carefully in 1st and 2nd, and in the wet, probably first 3 or 4 gears!

Nor me, they do handle extremely well and have the ability to accelerate out of corners fast. But the zed also handles very well, and also have extreme acceleration :D They are prone to understeer, especially as they are FWD

you cant run more than 15psi with stock turbo on them, and above 14psi the stock intercoolers are useless. He would of had to have upgraded them at the very least to get 26psi

WHy would you even bother tinkering with a Renault 5? First of all it is French...second...it is French and crap...IMO
