400/450 hp 300z's doing mid 13/14s seem abit crap!!

i know z's are good in triple figs but i dont care as i dont want to really do triples!

 

just rapid in towns, duel garrage ways . rapid up till 140/150 will do

i get 4 1/4 miles to every mile and if i sneeze they go past so quickly

My turbo is quick, I wouldn't say that just to wind you lot up as I said I own both. My Z has the zorst, blitz intake and several chips. Yeah it's a fast motor but the MR does the job for me. As I said before the Z is an animal once you get it going but the MR would nail it off the line! FACT! ;)

dragging is about 3 things

 

Weight - which the zed is a lardy

 

Grip/Launch - which the zed hasnt got the best grip

 

Power - which the zed is not the easiest car to tune

 

As a few people have said you want a drag car then buy a skyline, i know where theres a 10 sec car for sale for 12k but the zed experience is not about dragging its about driving them!!

I have pete but even at their softest setting you can't get them anywhere near stock :(

stiff suspension is not good on the drag strip, even more difficult to get decent traction

The trouble is a good track/drivers car 99% of the time doesn't make a good drag car... people think because they've got XXXBHP then they should be able to get low times.

 

I'd like to see what tyres most cars at Pod run on... I bet there's a few on budgets. I heard a guy in the queue at Pod complaining about the surface last summer, said he couldn't get any grip in his 250BHP turbo'd clio, which "span the wheels in 4th on the motorway in ther dry" :rolleyes: FFS get some decent tyres and have your tracking/camber etc checked you muppet!! No properly set up car should spin up at motorway speeds. People think it must mean their car is superquick :wack: You've spent thousands on your turbos conversion and can't use the "mega" power it produces, yeah well done.
