400/450 hp 300z's doing mid 13/14s seem abit crap!!

 

400 hp mr2= high 11s!

 

i know z's are good in triple figs but i dont care as i dont want to really do triples!

 

just rapid in towns, duel garrage ways . rapid up till 140/150 will do

Never had mne dyno'ed cos its not the be all and end all, but if i was guessing id say around 300rwhp and dunno what torque

 

I run 1 bar on stock tubs, injectors, intercoolers, internals. Its an Auto with an HKS ALC2 and an Apexi induction. Other than that its got a handmade exhaust and a John Dixon chip.

 

I get constant very low 13's at around 110mph every time!

 

My best is a 13.044 @ 108.92

12.7s @118mph - arse dyno'd @ 20bhp ;) Loads of mods. Z is NOT a drag car! Very difficult to launch properly...

300bhp wil net you around low 14s, depending on how you drive it. After that, its a heavy car to launch, you need good technique to get it off the line and a lot of power to get good times. Sorry if I'm stating the obvoius but a fast car isn't necessarily a good drag racing car...

Its all well and good having 1,000,000BHP but if you cant get the power down what good is it ???

 

Your looking for a car that will get into the 12's for peanuts, as told it's the wrong car for that.

so if a cack rs turbo with 200 hp will do low 14s/high 13s then wont that sit behind a zed till 110/120?

Oh, I got 12.7 with a manual at santa pod, better tyres and that would have been a LOT better! Depends how you drive it as to which box is best....

zed doesnt need to be a 12 second car..it has class sophistication and panache. things an MR2 owner wouldnt understand. drive one to actually understand it mr boy racer. you ve been doing nothing but saying stupid things on this thread.. if u want one the go and buy one thats if you can afford the upkeep if you dont want one then who fookin cares. you probably couldnt even afford the fookin petrol on these things. yeah but you aint making silly remarks are ya? but tell me honestly what is an MR2 compared to a zed. ive had a mr2 as well but aint shit compared to a zed. am i right. throw a MR2 about and it doesnt bite back but a zed is a whole different story
