The bad news is whats in the tank with her. 2 10" polka dot rays, 18" arowana, 12" plec and 8" catfish. does anyone know if the young can be seregated without the parents nursing them, as they are not going to last long with the predator's :(

cheers

Russ my mate "sanke" (registered mamber) is quite the expert with all things tropical fish. shall I ask him to give you a shout mate?

No chance of moving the Discus eggs mate. All I can suggest is get another tank ready and put the discus in. Normally when Discus spawn they eat the first 5-6 batches then they'll let them develop into wrigglers then munch them. It's not unusual to have 6-12 months of this before real success. What kind of arrowana is it ..a silver.Should be getting some motoro rays pretty soon myself

yep, it's a silver. nice fish but it takes you by suprise when it jumps up to get the food and your hand is 8" above the water :D . Rays are excellent pets  always on the move. they really can eat. mine hand feed which is nice from a large fish. shame about the discus, she has munched a couple of batches already. but she and the male are fanning the eggs and fighting all comers. still I suppose it will keep the others fit :D

Just happen to have over 300 tanks of fish including 2 red arrowana 2 silver & 1 gold. 10 tanks of Discus 5 with freshwater MBU puffers 1 Huge great Lung fish and this list could go on for ever. Oh yeah before I forget to mention I'm in the aquatic trade, I manage a shop in Enfield so any help you need give me a shout
