Yep did my time from school until I was 21, left the day before my 22nd B'day. Was a radio operator in the RN and did Armilla patrol in '89 in the Gulf and cleaned up the mines (not the ECU the ones that go bang, no hang on isn't that exactly what a Mines ECU does to a Z engine? :rofl:) as part of Op Granby after the 1991 Gulf War! 'ave it!!! LOL :D

 

Can still remember my number D210751M and found my dog tags the other day, apparently I'm O'Negative blood group...well I never. :D

Sometimes a pointless exercises can lead to a fruitful outcome.

 

SURELY if only 3 people out of us all had been in the forces then you might have thought that people had been ignoring you. If you post a poll it would be best to get as much input as possible and let everyone have a chance to partisipate? It isnt important but I thought it was relevent.

 

In the past there have been polls that ask "auto or manual" for instance which included "Not got a ZED".

 

Anyway I was in the Sea Cadets, was going to join up but joined the railways instead as a train driver.

As yamez says.... Serving up in Bonni wee Scotland on 111(f) Sqn at RAF leuchars, i fix the engines on the Tornado F3, Was on 18 SQN before that and did 2 tours in Iraq etc.

But thinking of banging out in a few years as I'm getting married...........

you know a guy called keiran galt up there? he was on my avionics course and got 111 at leuchars. would have been posted in about july last year. i'm on 41 at colt right now but moving to 9 (B) sqn at marham in dec.
