Just been looking through some old car photographs, and came across a couple of my old cars.

 

My first 2.8i Capri, LVP 48X, this was taken at Badgers Hill, Sheriffs Lench, Evesham, sometime back about '91. She had just been re-sprayed back to her original Colbalt Blue over Strato Silver, with the thin twin stripes and polished Pepper Pot alloys as it would have come out of the factory back in 1981 (first 2.8i production year) I'd brought it with a body kit fitted, which was hiding some accident damage .....

 

 

And another one of her taken at my (then) home in about '93/94. Still looking good, except for a light rusting area between the lower front valance and off side wing....

 

 

Now this one is my second 2.8i Capri, a later 1984 version. The only, subtle, difference (from this view) is that the striping is thick over thin. The other main difference is that the interior was vellor Recaro seating and door trims, as opposed to the tarten, and slightly less plush looking, interior of the earlier '81/82 cars....

 

Mick1 my first car was like yours except mine was orange. I got it for Christmas when I was 16, back in 1980. Those were the days.

Had 3 S12 silvias before I got my Z.. My last S12 was running 338BHP and 442ibft of torque.. and only weighed 891KG ..My stripped out rally beast!!!

As a matter of interest, I think my dad was following me with his cars. Before I got my Honda he had a Ford Cortina MKiii, then he got this Jap car. When i changed to my Capri, he got a Capri, later I got another Capri, and he got another Capri. later on I got a Rover, and he got.... You guessed it, he got a Rover as well :D bloody copy-cat, but I'd have loved to have seen him get a Zed :D but he's given up driving now.

jon .. the silver one . is that a pontiac fiero .. i used to have one of those old beasts lol

fiero gt... removed engine... and put a v6 in with nitros and had it all stiffened set up for race and drift... great car.. my mate has it now.. but wow... scary as hell... the only weak point is its clutch.... eats them like it does tires. lol

but great car...

the other is a chevy camaro z28 tpi but again engine removed.. didnt like the 5.0 so changed it to a vette 5.8 it was bored super charged and again nitro added.... took 2 10 lb bottles to get it moving.... but wow...

and the beetle... its kinda my wifes now. but still got that and got the xl 125 bike.

i love cars.... all of em.. apart from metros. (driven by old people... or young people who dont have enough money to maintain them properly....)

and 3 wheel cars... the robin... come on what the heck

Few years ago, I bought a J reg 1.4 Golf...worst car I've ever owned. But I paid £90 for it, so tried to kill it. Seen here trying to drown it in a river that I thought would be fun to drive through.

 

 

Citroen ZX 16v. Great little car, handled well too.

 

 

Bought an Astra convertible when I was about 20....

 

Minging thing...

 

....fitted some bits and bobs and a Calibra V6 engine and turned it into something fairly nice.
