think im gona have to take the zed off the road for a while!!!

 

bad fuel leaks, oil leaks see pic think ive cracked a piece of gearbox casing off theres oil all over it. think ill keep it off the road till next spring as i am skint and im gona get it to the zen and spend some cash fixing her up!!!!!

 

just a question guys i paid off my insurance in full about two months ago £1200 will i get any of this back when i cancel my insurance?????

 

oh yeah and membership cheque in the post today as hsbc website is a pain in the ass tryin to send direct bank transfers bloody banks.

 

any replys much appreciated guys thanx!!!!!!! ;)

Yup, pretty sure you will get a efund from your insurance company.

 

Its best that the zed is locked up for the winter anyway. :)

I think suspending the polciy rather than cancelling it will work out more cost effective.

 

Also, if that is teh bit of gearbox casing that I think it is then the only oil that would leak out of there would come from the rear main seal on the crank.

Hi Craig,

 

That small cut away is supposed to be there to allow leaked oil to drain from the bell housing - The rear main seal is usually the culprit here - cheap part to buy, but, much bigger cost in changing it unless you DIY or get mates rates.
