Hi pk,def low washer fluid when the light comes on as mines was low 2 days ago and it came on,as for where the leak is coming from could be anywhere from the tank to the jets?I have known of washer bottles or the pipe connecting to it splitting due to severe frost causing the fluid to leak out onto the road, might be the case with yours here but if it was me mate i'd check the washer bottle(reservoir) and trace it back to the jets.

Hope this has helped any??
