Nissan story (again)

Today was always going to be one to remember, the weather the lost winning lottery ticket to name just two, but was totally bowled over to receive a request for help from my local Nissan garage!!! The mechanic had seen me exiting the parts dept. and shouted over. They had a Uk TT and had given up on trying to get the brakes operating correctly after 4xdisc, pads and fluid change. With an extreamly low pedal action added to a poor feedback?Having asked the obvious about the work they had done I mentioned the bleeding proceedure and when I mentioned the abs unit had a seperate bleed screw on it he went kind of red well very red in fact. Then he went to the front of the car in search of the abs unit Doh!! its in the boot! later when caling to collect parts the car was outside been collected by the customer and the mechanic ..sorry technician gave me the thumbs up sign with a big grin..Amazing. thick as ---- !

hehe, as you know my dads m8 graham owns a garage, hes who we got the Z through actualy, but anyway he imports a lot of MR2's and the local toyota dealer called him one day asking for advice on an MR2. Main dealers have shit for brains, apart from mitsi who seem to know theur stuff, they fixed our Pajero (actually come to think of it they probably plugged it in and read out what was wrong with it (was a dodgy solenoid in the 4WD switching stuff) and charged 60 quid for the privelige)

I had Nissan here install a fan belt from a nissan maxima into my Z, and the resultant overheating meant I needed a new engine....

Nah, Mitsi are shit too.

Had to go to 3 different Mitsi garages to sort the gearbox prob on my FTO.

Ended up at Coordsport - top garage, got to sit in an EVO VI rally car (that was for sale - £200,000) while my car was getting repaired biggrin.gif

Come to think of it they were dirt cheap too, £20ph cheaper than my local Mitsi garage!

Oh baby - it just gets better. That was close. I was going to send off my letter of complaint today but I'm glad I didn't.

Jeff, do you mind if I pinch your story for a bit more juice to my letter?

Actually, come to think of it, what a crock of shit.

Are you trying to tell me that an organisation that boasts BS ISO 9002.321 or what ever the hell it is has to ask a customer for help on a brake job?

Please... What are main dealerships coming to. Personally, I'd prefer to take my car to Jeff every time but how can main dealerships justify their charges with behaviour like this? I give up.

I've nearly finished my letter of complaint to Nissan. If anyone is interested in having a laugh, mail me.

Jeff.

How long did you spend on that job. If it was only 5 minutes you could send them an invoice for half an hours work at £45 p/h, just like they did to me.

Aaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhh! God this winds me up!
