Jack yer car up and slip one under each wheel, that gives you enough room (even for your middle age spread!!)

Well i wont be going out on a friday night again knowing that i will be working under the Z.

Its taken me allday to get the car jacked up, the complete exhaust off, the propshaft, starter motor and all the bolts slackend off around the bell housing, and had a chat with everyone that walked by.

And tonight no beer so i'm not half pissed in the morning like today, and hopefully the box will be out in 1hr at the crack of dawn tomorrow.

JDZ, if ya want to drop off the exhaust in the morn, its ok with me, and viniboy you should never throw stones if you live in a greenhouse m8 :mac1: I only have jacked the car up 12" so i hope its enough.

Baz just a tip mate disconect ya boost hoses slacken ya engine mounts and push the engine back towards the bulk head if you have a strap tighten it down to hold it there, this will give you more clearance to miss the bulk head when removing the box also helping you remove the bolts at the top of the box.

on the same job tomor with mine, and im hitting the town hard tonight ;)

That was a great bit of advice m8, i jacked the front of the engine up as far as it would go, (after i removed the boost pipes), and it was easy to get to the 2 top bolts with a long extension bar, fook me is that gearbox heavy.

I made a fork frame that sits on my trolly jack and takes all the weight but it was still a struggle on my own but its all out now :hyper: .

Had a shock when i drained the oil it was black, and stunk.

So now the box is out is there anything else that can be done to the back of the engine that you cant normally do with the box in....???

John did you manage to get much of yours stripped, is my exhaust ready for collection, am in no rush m8.
