Racelogic Traction Control

Just a quick question for those others that have it installed...

Mine now gives me a wonderful alert as soon as I go over 100mph by the LED having a conniption fit and glowing nuclear green until I go below 100mph again. Does everyone's do this?

What you've done more than 100!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I've set my turbo timer to beep & flash at 160kph. Can be very usefull. smile.gif

I got 3 points and a £40 fine for a 5 mile average of 99.74mph a while back, was before I had my Turbo timer and S13 but it taught me a valuable lesson.

A bit too close for comfort. smile.gif

The only time I have been caught out that close was when driving along the M25 once, when it wasn't Britain's biggest carpark, with a passenger. We were talking away and I just glanced in the RVM to see police car in disguise... POLICE stamped over his bonnet, garish stickers everywhere, the flashy light ensemble topping off the car. Look to the speedo....125mph. Ooops.

So I eased off the accelerator and pulled into the middle lane and he pulled in behind me. Managed to cruise down to 65mph without using the brakes and Mr Cruiser sat behind me for about a mile / mile and a half and then pulled round me and tanked off, much to the collective relief of me and my licence.

I do try to stay under a tonne, if only for Licence Preservation Purposes, but occasionally, just occasionally.... biggrin.gif

Ajay,

That is the gear change light. I think I set it for about 4750 rpm. That would be about 100mph in fifth.

In forth surely on a 6 pot motor?

The S13 (4 pot) is only revving at about 5K at a ton, or 165mph at 8K smile.gif smile.gif

Can't remember what I set it to, may have been 3750 .... so it would be nearer max torque. A mate of mine has it set at 2000rpm, just so that he can tell it's on and working.

The light is the signal from the ABS sensors or the revs, depending on what setting you are on.

Or is that just mine?

The light at 100 is probably flashing so fast its just glows.

You can configure it to indicate rpm and wheel speed sensors or use it as a gear shift light. Personally that constant flickering drives me mad, so I use it as gearshift.
