I have travelled 300 miles today and not seen one single Z! However while messing with my car A guy pulled up got out his van and started chatting about the Z. Real friendly guy, it then turns out he is the owner of the white Z they used on Top Gear to compare to the 350Z a couple of years back.

Where was this i heard a rumour that it was the one in stroud i was gonna look at ??

He lives in Brierley Hill. I didn't see his car but he sounded genuine, knew this site but is a member of ZClub. He has it in heated garage and it is totally OEM.

The bloke i talked to was a school teacher (private i might add) and he had half a dozen tasty motors a speedboat and the white zed, three spoke alloys stainlees exhaust "g" or "h" plate full service blah blah and heavily overpriced it was advertised in the "trade it" i would say at least 18 months ago. He was also selli a Legacy estate with hundreds of B.H.P at silly money as well

This guy seemed totally genuine. He said it was a 93 UK Manual. I think the guy in Stroud may have been trying it on?

Oh yeah mate he was i asked him what bits and pieces it had, said it was a little bit on the high price side (trying not to scream "you,ll never sell for that") and he wouldnt let me off the fone my misses even said just put the phone down on him !! I think he must have been gettin sued for using a private schoolboy for a privvy toast rack and needed lawyer money :rofl: :rofl:

yampidog, I would say you met the genuine artical there as I know the owner of that car quite well, nice block had the car some time, originally met him at the Boat inn meet arranged by Danny Zaat a few years back, I cleaned the engine up for him as it still had the original protection wax on and looked yukky.

Yup! LOL Mine's not totally OEM though, but in a nice warm garage. :)

Yeah I never had a garage for any of my cars until I moved into this house, I lock the MR into bed every night without fail! Having a garage is ace.

 

But on the other hand I don't have a twead blanket and a straw boater on the parcel shelf full time, which is how you can tell most Zclub owners apart from the intolerable rabble that is the average 300zx.co.uk owner! :rofl:

there was a 1 on 1 with a 350z which was a white one so you may be right on that.
