I hear a high pitched noise coming fom the door. It continues until I unlock the door. So it will go all night or all week until I unlock the doors again. Any ideas. The sound seems to be coming from inside of the drivers door.\

Thanks

Konrad

have you got and alarm on the car which can control the door locks, if so the thought i had would be the door locking solonoid. if its not switching properly or is malfunctioning in any other way it could possibly give you a high pitched noise.

its not from experience or anything just an idea .

someone else may be along who can help (hopefully :( )

all the best

I had that on mine - it was because the little plastic bit on the driver's door lock was broken so it couldn't engage the bit that makes the passenger door lock work. It would make the noise when it was locked or unlocked until I manually locked/unlocked the passenger door.

Both of my doors lock. I have done some tests and if the button that lets the car know he door is closed is pushed and the doors are locked the noise starts. I think it has something to do with an alarm that was removed. I was trying to avoid taking the door card off. Hatstand How did you resolve your problem?

Thanks Gaz I think you are on the right track.

no worries it was the only logical thing to be wrong imo.

hope you get it sorted matey ;)

 ive got the squeeking front upper arm link so i know how you feel very embarrassing :headvswal

There was an alarm fitted to mine which the guy before had removed and done some interesting wiring with the door solenoid - that was the source of the noise. I replaced the plastic lock bit and sorted the wiring out and it went back to normal.
