It never seems to stop. Having sorted my idling problems over the weekend (it was the TPS, thanks guys :-)) now the ICE (standard system supplied with car) is playing up. The situation is as follows, it powers on but you have to turn it up full volume it hear anything and even then it's barely audible. Any ideas or do I just rip it out and put something else in ?

Roy, check your fuses m8 Sounds like the amp isn't getting supply... Also check the connectors on the back of the stereo...

Have you got an auto mute like for a mobile phone ? These seem to work by pulling the signal down to earth. If that were shorting against something then it might have the same effect.

Is it the BOSE system,if it is I had a similar problem and just ripped the whole lot out and put in something nice. Worth checking the centre speaker if it is a BOSE setup cos i believe that if this isn't working the rest of the system suffers, (shoot me down all you ice heads) .
