John Dixon

One for the mods/admin really.

John has gotta be one of the most helpful and respected guys on the forum.

I've no idea what's upset him to make him decide about leaving, so just wondered if any of you guys had heard whats what and were in a postion to sort the problem(s) out ? I assume it may relate to a general feeling about certain things, but am just thinking that if someone as level headed as him is pissed about summit, then surely others might and i'd hate to see anyone leave for reasons other than being a Zed owner.

cheers

I am sure he will want to blame this post

However it is much deeper than that and he knows it!

I have had complaints about him openly trading in chips and offering his services repairing and fitting boost controllers gauges etc to peoples cars.

Now although the above is not a direct threat to your trading it is to others. We can’t have one rule for one and allow Mr X the right to trade for free.

He does not want to pay trader fees despite the thousands of pounds he has cashed in from members over the last few years.

IMHO I think the largest loss of our forum was when Andy Duff left, if you do a search 70% of Andy’s posts were tech help.

If John wants to leave then that’s up to him.

so whats it to be then - tougher moderating?

move more of the crap to rant club where it can continue?

delete "chav spk" posts

or just do nothing & watch it all go tits up???

Ian, I have to say (and I do so in the full knowledge that I consider both John, Leigh and yourself as friends) that it is unfair to say that John's "trading" is an issue. I dont think there are many people who have not done "work" of some nature for people on the board and been paid for it, I certainly have.

I also think the main issue is that, once again, the club has become cliquey with the rumour mill and bitchiness manifesting itself as a direct result of that. Whilst a bit of healthy repartee is good for the club and keeps it lively, some of the happenings recently have gone beyond the pale. I can totally understand why John is pissed off, and if we are honest I think most of us would run a flag up the same pole.

He continues to post PM me and I will sort you out, If Jeff posted that we all know what would happen. It was not noticed by myself it was from another trader.I have never charged when I have helped people fit stuff on their Z,I choose to help people I dont expect them to pay me.

Not crossed my mind but thinking about it JD does all Baggins map work

I wasnt trying to say that the cliques were on one side or the other, they just cause fractions withion the club
