hi , i really want to buy a 300 tt and am saving all my money. been looking at 200sx,scoob(but scoobs look slow!) r33 gts but over a grand more to insure then a 300 tt and a mr2 turbo again.

wanted something bigger than a mr2 tho.

every one keeps saying they break and cost thousands if something goes wrong+engine having to come out all the time.

but every time i think i wont get one cos of what ppl say i see a 300z go past and hear that nice engine noise and alway think that is car car i really want!!

will i be ok if i get a tt and look after it and service right?

service it so turbos and stuff dont go and last as long as they can?

i want one but dont want to be fixing it all the time and spending so much money to stop things breaking

i want to spend 3/4k looking at traders so i get engine and box warranty

they are expensive cars to run, maintain and insure but its a 13 year old sports car which cost an average of 4 grand and you get the performance of of a 60 grand motor

everyone has different expiriences with zeds, but in my opinion you could have the same sort of expences with a lesser powerfull car like a scoob and skyline gts

and to answer your question about servicing, if its been serviced before you buy it and you keep up the servicing all should be fine, if not it wont

there are some fine examples for sale on this very site at the moment, have a look in the cars for sale section

You can always buy privatly and purchase a used car warranty yourself !

You do not have to buy from a trader to get a used car warranty. :D

Fook the waranty. just get the car......If it blows up you can get it fixed on here.. :D

a warranty off a dealer with these cars mate is not worth fvck all, chances are iff it breaks it will end up getting fixed by "terry under the archers". your better getting a good one thats been looked after by zed-heads as in this forum. a car thats been looked after is worth 5 cars with a lucky bag warranty ill tell ya ;)

i have a post about swapping my car on here, if there is any one that'll take my mr2 and a grand or so.

there was one that come into work this morning at 6am it was a red tt with veilside kit, 18s, the guy said it had 450hp and done 60 in 4.2. also said it was it had a 4 page spread in a jap mag.

when he pulled out i heard that engine sound, very nice

I have to agree i work in a large Prestigious Dealership and most of the time the warranty companys will weezzle out of paying if they can, However there are a few good warrantys that do have good cover ! :D You have to cross your T's and dot your i's when presenting a claim and they ar not to bad. These warrantys are not cheap £400-500 per year. Personally skip the warranty buy a car of here and look after it if it goue tits up the £400-500 you would have spent on the warranty will cover a lump of the repairs :hyper: :hyper:

yeah i guess so, just going to look at the for sale section hope i can find one for £3.500 tho. wanted to p/x my as i dont wanna wait to sell my mr2 cos most ppl have been total time wasters! could push 4k

but be warned the 3 dredded words "wear and tear" i had a warranty once brake caliper broke because the monkey in the garage said its worn out ,to which the bloke asked is it down to wear and tear he said yes its old and knackered and needs changing they refused to pay out, twat!!!!!!!
