Has anyone got one of these?I here they are pretty good and you get a decent bhp increase and a nicer sounding exhaust.

Basically Blue flame exhaust = Mongoose exhaust. Very popular choice for a Well made, subtle stock look without being too loud.

yep blue flame/mongoose are great exhausts, though i think they the may be a bit too quiet.

i have blue flame top zorst

I enquired with blue flame about a zorst previously. It seems they don't do the quad pipe stock look any more.

I have just fitted a blue flame on mine and it's very nice even the oval look is ok but it is very noisy (cost about £350) off the shelf from e-bay

the stock look ones like mine arent, but the oval ones are! very good exhausts, well impressed with mine.

Blueflame will custom build an exhaust to whatever spec you wish.

the fitters actually ask you(if you dont specify) how you want it to sound and what tip you would like fitted.

This may not apply of course on mail order systems.

Blueflame are not associated in any way , NOW, with Mongoose.

They did at one time "contract manufacture" for Mongoose.

Blue flame custom built a full system for my S13 with a 5" jap style end ,top job and a fantastic sound. But there customer service was shit

The oval Blueflame zorst is quite loud but i wouldn,t say it was overly loud , nice deep note as well :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Anyone got pics of the 'stock look' Blueflame/Mongoose on their Z please?

had a blue flame fitted at skelemesdale factory rattles and vibrates on the back 9x4 oval can barely hear the radio now kept me waiting for hours

why the fook are they so small???

But there customer service was shit

Well the customer waiting area is deffo basic, but I received good friendly service as did the two other customers who had cars on the ramps at the same time.

Each of us was consulted on style , noise etc, and taken through to view work in progress.

kept me waiting for hours

Well I too waited hours. But that was what I expected as the head fitter explained to me on my arrival. Making up a complete Zed exhaust from scratch was never going to be a one hour "quick fit" job.

My opinion of the quality is that it is good value for money. Its not the best, but its not top money.

For me the most important thing is that the whole job of custom decats and custom exhaust( I went twice for the 2 jobs) made a dramatic improvement to the performance, and I have times before and after at Santa Pod to back this up.

Total cost was just under £600 fitted.

I was quoted £900 for the identical job at Hayward and Scott in Essex.

Not for the SWB tho.

Until I arrived at the factory in Skelm they had never seen a shortie. ;)

And they hadnt done decats before either, although they had been asked about doing them.

Obviously you didnt get looked after as well as I did by what youve said.

Have you asked Nigel if they will rectify your "rattle"???

Not for a short wheel base they're not ;)

Damn - must type faster - LOL :D

i found out after i got back that the back box hanging bracket was stabbing the back of the chassis i coudnt make up my mind whether they were sub standard exhausts because while i was there another 300zx was there ordered it off ebay had ryan fit it from ztech and one of the exhausts was to long coming out the rear

I am thinking of selling my 2x twin's mongoose zorst so i can get an oval one because it alot louder. zorst is only 6 mths old and done about 1000 miles so its like new.

Anyone interested?

Iv,e got Blue flame oval pipes fitted and side of the exhaust on mine is longer and therefore sticks out more, it also rattled on the inside of the rear valance , mainley when it was hot ( due to expansion ) i trimmed the hanger bracket down , all sorted . Apart from that niggle i,m happy with them :D
