Who's had an auto to manual conversion?

And how different did it make the car feel? Having mine done next week, along with a RPS sport clutch and lightened and balanced flywheel.

Thanks

That would be about 25k total then ;) Pretty good going for an auto

Very good when my brand new manual lasted 1000 miles lol

Mines had a conversion...

Allthough it was already done when I bought it :D otherwise I wouldnt of bothered.

If I lived in america with straight roads and a nancy aproach to bends then I would of gone for auto...

Question....

How many auto F1 cars are there?....

or even

How many auto racing cars are their?

You get the idea.....

Although in the end its all down to personal taste and driving style ;)

some praise the auto box but ive only ever seen how weak it is when you start to tune the engine....

Thats not to say that the gear change is quicker on a manual...I would say that the auto is probably quicker on the 1/4 mile strip but I dont drive down the 1/4 mile strip everyday :smw:

sounds good on paper steve but you get a itchy pair of *****xs goin into a fast bend and you,ll beg for an auto :D

I run a TTauto but have been thinking of upgrading the slushbox to a fast road autobox, where can I get one etc etc.

Ive had no probs with my autobox and considering I frice up n down to kent a lot and get stuk in traffic all the way down A1/M1/M25 it sure is relaxing NOT to be doing leg workouts all the way lol. :smw:

My mate also has a TT manual.....and the grasss is a little greener now n again :x: lol

Me and my son converted my 93 TT, started at 10am and was driving it by 5pm. The only bit we could not be bothered with was the wiring for the reversing lights, otherwise just great. My auto box was messing about and I did not feel happy to continue to give it stick. Bought all the parts for £600 which is a lot cheaper than having the box sorted. Auto is nice tho'........
