one thing ive noticed in various mags and sites is the elevated bhp claims ,now i think we are all guilty of this in some degree and i think we should try and get a bit more real here,if for instance a certain persons car is proven on a rolling road with certain modifications and has a read out then maybe we all could use this as some form of guide lines for others :rant: :x:

Torque plays a big factor in the overall performance ;)

If you can bring the Torque level with the bhp then youre quids in

Factory power approx 290@fly which equates to again approx 255bhp@wheels for manual tt

I agree BHP numbers dont really mean that much,It is all about what the car can do on the road that counts,I think what Jason was meaning in this thread is that people CLAIM to have X amount when they dont.

 

Torque is where it matters however you need bhp to get it;)

Nice one! :D ;) We haven't discussed dates as yet aside from sometime in 2006 Lol! ;) However, a while back John and I did talk about maybe catching the F1 series in Belgium so thinking about it, we could combine the two...hmmmmm....

Should say...the Belgian Grand Prix is scheduled for Sept 17th at the moment, but I've read that there's a possibility that it "may" be cancelled after the race organiser filed for bankruptcy! :(

One thing I love about the zed is you get the same if not more torque than bhp. Mine for example has very simple mods and I get 325bhp at wheels and 342ftlb of torque at wheels.

Wheels the bhp was 504.4,but there is plenty more to be had once I stick the twin fuel pumps on.
