My new ZX i got last friday has the turning circle of a super tanker as 245 tyres are on the front as well. And it has been lowered. When i am turning around or making a sharp turn the wheels hit the wheel arch. This really sends a shiver down my spine. I think i might get the ZX unlowered which would help a bit.

What is yow thoughts on this?

i would leave it lowered but try lower profile at the front or get 225s at the front

245 is too wide on the front IMO. Its affecting your steering too much. I'd go back down to 225 or 235 wide personally.

However the zed turning circle its very poor, but a bit of heavy right foot and you'll soon have the car facing the other direction ;)

Gagh this is really pissing me off. I go to Asda at lunchtime so i to get around in the car park i have to make some tight turns and the wheels rub against the arches making a horrible noise and makes me look a tit in a cool car. Bum grapes!

Yeah, the zed has the turning circle of the QEII...

Right i have had enough. I cant even turn into my road without a horrible gnarling noise. To take the ZX back to its stock height what do i need? 4 springs and how much?

4 stock springs and about £40 for labour.

i insist cheaper/easier way is to fit 225s at the front.

but then again at the end of the day is your motor

you have low profiles tho.

for what we know xav could be runnin 245/70/16s..!

I have 245/40 - 18" on the front of mine(on 8.5" Azevs) They dont catch BUT they are a tight fit.

It could be that your offset is just not quite ideal.

then again low profiles bud, but as xav says his motor is decked and if he has big proflies too he is in deep dodo and if on top of that you add wrong offset well...

im lost for words.

Found out last night that a bit of the right inner wheel arch had come out rubbing on the tyre. The out of place bit of manifold now has been tucked back in nicely The nasty rubbing has almost completly stopped. But the car still rides too low. But i can now drive about car parks and similar without the car spine chilling noises.

Phew!
