Would a car immobiliser have a problem with a turbo timer letting the engine stay on and idle? I think it would.

Featured Replies

hmmm dont think it would as the immobilizer cuts in after the engine stops running thats assuming that the TT is wired up properly, i had one on my MR2 witha clifford (2 pointi mmobilizer) and worked perfectly

No. As a safety feature of all passive arming cat2 immobilisers they only arm after a 30 (ish)second period of zero current from the ignition. When you turn your ignition off, the turbotimer continues to feed ignition power. Cat1 (Imobiliser as part of an alarm) on the other hand might give you a problem as you can arm it manually with remote central locking.
