hi all had a strange one happen to me today

i drive to work stopped outside my work with the engine running for a couple of minutes, when i switched the engine off i could here what i assume was the fuel pump buzzing! after about 20 seconds it stopped but started again for another 20 odd sec's ...this went on for about 5-10 minutes

i know the pump primes when you go to start the engine but why did it pulse like this after i stopped.

it didn't happen when i returned home this evening

cheers

gaz

Would it be stuck relay ???? or along those lines but there is a series of them round the car so thats about as far as i can help sorry

could be..... i disconnected the ones behind the passengers seat and the pump kept going :D

When maxsunny had fuel pump prob at Jae Ryan sed that it creates a circuit all the way back to the pump or summat like that so it wasnt just a case of one relay if you know what i mean ????? oh and he was lookin rhside front footwell at front and under bonnet as well as in the boot so i dunno

theres also a relay inside the rear qtr on a 2+2 but me thinks it will be in a differant location ona shortie
