My car has been running fine since i have had it. The tickover has been excellent and sounded fantastic but this morning on the way to work the engine started to judder. The rev counter while stationary which usualy sits at about 750/800rpm was dropping to 500(and lower) then up to 1000 and back again. this then changed to drop lower eventually making the car stall.
Now the car is running fine from cold but when it warms up to normal running temperature it starts again.
I can drive if i brake with my left foot and keep the revs up but gradually as i drive the car looses power and i need to switch it all off and wait for it to cool down. It then works ok for a bit longer.
I took it to nissan this afternoon to investigate the problem. The compter said the problem was the NOK sensor but the mechanic said it is unlikely to be the sensor due to the symptoms and refered me to a specialist garage.
I've booked the car in with a specialist sports garage but thats a week tomorrow.
does anyone have any ideas.
BTW the car is a uk Auto Twin Turbo with 96k on the clock the last service was done 1 year ago
