Hello

can someone point me in the direction of a diagram of the wing mirrors. I need to take mine apart and see whats keeping it from closing. It starts to close but it does not finish. My drivers side one operates properly and it fits snuggly to the housing where the passenger side one does not fit snuggly to the housing so I think there is something loose or borken that is keeping it from oprerating properly or even sit properly.

Sounds like a mechanical problem rather than an electrical one. Best bet is to take it apart and see whats wrong.

had this problem months ago ....before the tree fell on it and totally knackered it :((

 

was a cable for the heater element in the glass getting jammed under the mechanism

 

take the screws out from underneath the mirror cowling the back should just pry away ( gently ) then get somebody to operate the switch while you look inside
