The car failed its MOT this morning, not too worried as they are not major things. Got a few questions though so I can get it ready for the retest:

 

1) No side lights (I knew about that :rolleyes: ) - are the jap spec side lights/fog lights two bulbs, or two filaments in one bulb? what bulb do i need and where can i get it?

 

2) n/s steering gaitor is split - again where from and how much labour am i looking at?

 

3) one of the rear number plate lights don't work, how do i get to it and change the bulb?

 

4) Need to adjust the handbrake - 5% efficient apparently lol, is there a guide?

Yep, two bulbs, Fog is a H3, but with a female bullet crimpped on the end, so just change the loom to a male spade and you can use UK ones.

As for the side light, I beleive it's a 501, but I'm not too certain.

steering gaitor and handbrake are common faults with any car not just the Z. i failed on those last year :p should be sorted and fly through the MOT soon

yep h3/h1 plus a 501 for fog light, and you probally know how to take fog light out to change bulbs if not just need to undo indicaters and you can put your hand through to reach fog an undo 3 10mm bolts.

Sorted - Just took the bulbs to the motor factor and said i want four of these please (the side light bulbs are the same as the rear number plate light bulbs)

Sorted - gaitor ordered from Mike at MJP, will hopefully be fitted on friday.
