As you know, I am intending to break the Zed down and sell for parts due to wanting a house further down the line etc etc, but tonight a friend of mine came out with what must be the most simple comment ever!!!!

 

He said to me 'Why dont you keep the Zed?'

 

I told him the reasons why etc etc, but then he went on to say...

 

'Well, why dont you just keep it as it is and stop the project, stop modding her and just use the car as it is, once fixed?'

 

So, I sat down, worked out some figures, and he's right, I can actually afford to keep the zed as just a weekend car and if I choose to stop modding it any further than present...... :hyper: :hyper: And pay off my debts......

 

Apologies for messing any folk around but the sheer simplicity of just not modding the zed anymore means that I can afford to keep it..... :D :D

Why I never thought of this I dont know but I have been so so focused on this picture of my Zed I have in my mind, I overlooked a simple answer.....

 

So no more project Zed, but as I am sure a few zedders will already agree, with the coolers, fixed head gasket and a damn good tune, she is TBH fookin fast anyway........

Dave, still havent had the bodywork done yet. Chris has my new tailgate ready and I'll look at just having a respray rather having a new bodykit etc etc now....but then I'm not in any rush so it can wait.

 

For now, I'll get the head gasket and rings/bearings done, fit eh intercoolers, sort the cloth and thin sponge for the interior panels and thats it.

 

Oh, I need to get my oil pressure gauge working but then she'll just be used.....

 

That lot wont cost much, it's more my time thats involved.......

top bannana ;) it can get addictive modding,especially when you want to make it look better go faster drive better,all this takes time and a lot of money,thinking back before i sold my z i could of afforded to keep her now :headvswal im now worse off for finance than i was when i had the z :(
