Hi guys in need of help yet again. My battery keeps going flat, when i turn the ignition over, the power light flashes up and the battery light stays on, it wont go off even if the battery is fully charged.

 

I hope its as simple as I need a new battery but fearing the worst.

sounds like its not charging. test voltage at battery when running should be about 13-14volts DC. to me it seems your alternator has gone, i might be wrong but test will tell you

Or your cells in the battery are foooked mate and you need a new one :( would check voltage first tho ;)

Ive got similar prob. with mine its ok when driving, batt light never comes on,its only if i leave it over night for a few nights. i have tryed new batt, will i be able to a drain test with multi meter. want to make sure it not draining before i change alternater.

Cheers once again guys, it was the alternator, More overtime for me know then

my battery kept going flat over night, found out that the electric seat button was sticking on when i put the seat back (which i do everytime i leave the car) us short people lol

I've a new altenator for sale if anyone wants it - genuine Nissan - cost me £123 plus VAT from an Auto electrical company - yours for £110 delivery included. Part no looks like 112971 if that helps.

i had this problem when first got my car and it was found that my alternater was gone, hence it was not charging my battery like it should. im not saying it is that but thats what happened to me and i had same problem.
