Think mine is about 12 seconds.

I am only asking as IMHO this is the most important time there is. Not how fast to 60 you do mut how fast you can get tehr and stop.

I might be off on the 12 seconds as I need someone t time it.

Can't imagine that considering a stock zed will take that long to get to 100, and the brakes are staggeringly poor :p

I think 12 secs is a bit ambishous, mine soes 109mph in 13 secs so id be amazed if you could get back to 0 in 12secs!!

But hey, get out there and try on yer private dragstrips of course! :D

I can do 0-30-0 in about 15sec....

12 secs?!?!?! I don't think so... Would be funny to see everyone at Santa Pod hammering the brakes on as soon as they get to 100 and checking their stopwatch...

Now I was thinking that. At teh Pod. Hammer the brakes on at 100.

As I said was counting in my head. need someone next to me with a watch.

dont think you will get anywhere near the 12 secs

easy to do. accelerate to 100mph then hit a tank :nelson:

Do a 120 mhp hard brake and see how long it takes to stop on standard brakes. Quite shocking IMO :(

I think it's a myth that stock ZX brakes are poor. When these cars were new the brakes were no worse than its rivals. Many magazine articles state the brakes are fine.

No, the problem with stock brakes materialises 10-15 years down the line. Stopping a 155mph car that weighs in at 1.5 tonnes is no mean feat so all this takes its toll on the brakes and seriously impedes their efficiency. Also the stock discs are prone to warping after continuous 100-0 stops (say on a trackday)

Its amazing what replacing the components and reconditioning the calipers will do!

Richard ;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

richards right a good cleanup of them seized callipers and new discs makes a big differance, but there still shite

brembo or big brake upgrade is the only way forward thats when you can really brake properly ;) and it will save your life ever tried braking hard from 150 PMSL
