Sorry, this is probably covered before but have looked through threads and can't find an answer.

My Z is overfuelling and I was going to put a chip in it and get it re-mapped properly to solve it and get me a few more horses. :smw:

I have seen some ECU's for £700 which I am assuming is the whole upgraded unit? I have also seen MoTeC chips advertised for around £200-300 which I assume are devices to plug into your existing ECU? I am a little confused and a bit (a lot) of a novice when it comes to in-depth engine management.

Price is a big issue, but I am going to have to have it played with to sort the fuelling so this is the ideal time to chip it. Any recommendations/advice for a confused Z owner.

Get in touch with one of the clubs traders/garages for advice. See traders section.

Also speak to John Dixon(forum member). Knows more about mapping ecus etc than the rest of the membership put together.

What makes you think your car is over fueling ? is it stock, modded etc

The engine temp sensor ontop of the top water inlet pipe is known to go cruddy and cause over fueling, so check that is all okay. If the car is modded just list whats been done so we can see whats the possible cause.

As pete says though, when the time comes for you chip it, see the traders, andyp and JohnD who can do that for yer.
