I have a 1994 300 ZX Twin Turbo Manual; engine was replaced but now overheats. Problem appears to be somewhere inaccesible at the back of the engine. Car has now broken down 3 times in about 1000 miles. Also engine is hunting. Any suggestions on where I can get this fixed? It has rendered the car unusable.

sounds like the little hose that feeds the passenger turbo directly above bellhousing,as for nearest specialist then z-tech is probably nearest

with the hunting might be worth getting a cylinder leakage/and boost leak check test done check ther car over z-tech is based in wiltshire nr swindon, check in the traders section for contact details

Where in N.Wales are you?Im in Llandudno and i have a conzult if thats any use?It may pinpoint your hunting.

Oh i also have a pressure tester. So that should find your leak.

Mine did this but it was the turbo coolant hose, drivers side, right up under the car...not easy to get to unless you have a ramp...still a bugger....

The hoses have these cr*ppy little spring clips and the pressure can force past them..get them replaced if you can...

Hi Steve

Not far from you - Pwllheli way. Problem is car is not mobile at present due to fault. A local garage have 'repaired' this twice but obviously not very well. It went again last week and AA guy tried to re-attach the hose but it was too difficult at roadside. I paid the garage £1700 for a re-conditioned engine but have had less than a 1000 trouble free miles. I bought the car off a friens for 5k. In rapid succession it has needed a new clutch, engine, shocks and is still not right. Woe is me!

Thanks Angus. My local garage has had two goes at fixing the hose but all to no avail. I obviously need to find a garage that knows what it is doing.

could possibly be corroded pipes to heater matrix at back of engine
