With more than 340 cars and bikes displayed in stunning style, dating from 1886 to the present day, it is the largest international motor museum in Britain.

 

For those interested in a nostalgic trip down memory lane, the museum offers a host of familiar names such as Austin, MG, and Morris. Whilst for those seeking something more exotic there is a vast array of performance cars, from modern classics such as the Dodge Viper and XJ220, to the more historic Jaguar E Type and AC Cobra.

 

Also on show is a large collection of American cars, including the jewels in the crown of Haynes – the V16 Cadillac, and the million-dollar Duesenberg. For children there is the, 'Ghostbusters' ambulance, the themed play area, and the fabulous play-bus, and many other activities.

Guided Tourer also available for free, but we need to let them know if we want this beforehand (let me know if you think this would be a nice extra?)

 

Once we have visited the Museum, we can all go for a drink at nearby pub. :duffer:

I'm trying to make the most of mine before the tax runs out the end of this month - when it does she's being tucked in for the winter

I will be at Puriton Inn around 1:15 (will prob actually be there 1pm-1:30pm) to meet everybody else.

 

Puriton Inn is on route. J23 M5, take junction signposted glastonbury at roundabout, after 50 yards, turn left into Puriton, then left again to the Puriton Inn.

Bump ....2 days to go. Those further North should make arrangements to meet on the way (as are white-zed and the welsh guys). Gordano services is a good meeting point for the Bristol guys.

 

Then at Puriton for around 1:15, collect Si in Glastonbury(on route) then onto the Museum for 2pm :D

not sure if they should use gordano dave they may get sidetracked as there is a big jap meet there at 12.30 sun

ALSO, since I'm taking the Astra, I'll get Craig to drive it and I'll take some drive-by pics on the A303 if anyone's interested. It's dual carriage way, so would make for some nice drive-by photos.

I can't face it mate. Just don't want to put it back in the garage with salt all over it. The stuff gets everywhere underneath. Plus, I want to keep the font end chip free...Unless I tie a towel to the front end! haha
