Right guys, something a bit different for November..but dont worry we can still go for a beer afterwards ;)

Date: Sunday 27th November (new date!)

Time: 2pm (at the museum)

Location :

Haynes International Motor Museum

Castle Cary Road (A359)

Sparkford

Somerset

BA22 7LH

map.jpg

With more than 340 cars and bikes displayed in stunning style, dating from 1886 to the present day, it is the largest international motor museum in Britain.

For those interested in a nostalgic trip down memory lane, the museum offers a host of familiar names such as Austin, MG, and Morris. Whilst for those seeking something more exotic there is a vast array of performance cars, from modern classics such as the Dodge Viper and XJ220, to the more historic Jaguar E Type and AC Cobra.

Also on show is a large collection of American cars, including the jewels in the crown of Haynes – the V16 Cadillac, and the million-dollar Duesenberg. For children there is the, 'Ghostbusters' ambulance, the themed play area, and the fabulous play-bus, and many other activities.

If we get 15 people or more :

Adults £5.25

Children £2.50

Concessions £4.25

Guided Tourer also available for free, but we need to let them know if we want this beforehand (let me know if you think this would be a nice extra?)

Once we have visited the Museum, we can all go for a drink at nearby pub. :duffer:

You sure? Yours must run on LNG, because £25 would get me to that Wales meet and half way back, not all the way to Derby....even if it was from Gloucester.

Saying that, I'm not on UK fuel map yet.:x:

Pretty decent turn-out so far. Enough for Group booking (as some of us will be brining partners).

Ace, looks like it'll be a decent turn out. Royal called me last night, but doesn't look like he'll make it.

Yeah the Coldra roundabout would be good Kev. We'll sort times out in due course

Glenn, if you're going to this meet, do you want me to bring the lights with me then? Failing that, I don't mind hoping over the bridge next week.

It may also be worth mentioning that Haynes, have a Private test track. Its available for hire, on a half day basis for £150 (10am-1pm) or (2pm - 5pm). If we had 10 cars interested, then looking at a bargain £15 each.

Its runs a only 1 vehicle on circuit at any one time policy, but that gives you the chance to put yourself and the car to the test without worrying about others.

If we had enough numbers I could book this, alternatively we could arrange it for another day.

I'd love to do the track too, although we'd really need more people who would also want to do it to get costs down. Its £150, for up to 12 people/cars, so the more people, the less it costs us each. If this does'nt happen for this meet, I will arrange it for another time.
