Guys,

Thinking of getting one with all the trimmings...mate of mine is looking at a Origin B2 which looks quite good.

Any recommendations?

Cheers

Radar/laser detection will become illegal at some point when they pass the new Road Traffic Act bill (was supposed to be enforced next year but has been delayed).

I have a Road Angel 2 and I'm very happy with it - never been hit by a laser gun though.

If you want something with all the bells and whistles, have a look at the Road Angel Navigator.

Why not get yourself tomtom on your pda or your nokia phone, then you can have camera detection and a navigator all in one, and you can set your poi's (points of intrest) to locate Mc Dee's, your bank, pizza hut, and Nissan garages, you name it its on there. And as you are in Essex i might be able to help you out with the software???

baz how do you get it to work on your fone, what do you need? i have a nokia 6630

Garmin i3 sat nav for £199ish and install the pocketgpsworld speed camera database.

i have a snooper s3 neo which i am very happy with.

just need to get the radar detector module and it will be fantastic imo

Bought a road angel for three reasons.

1/ Believe it to be one of the best Detectors on the market using GPS

2/ Very good laser detection for the sneaky coppers.

3/ If the gov do make using a laser detecter ilegal, I understand that the Road Angel is the only one on the market at the moment where this function could be disabled leaving you with just GPS detection.

Only issue with it is its quite chunky so I prefer the looks of the B2 as its smaller. Road Angel not let me down yet.

Hi,

I've got a Snooper S6r neo. http://www.performanceproducts.co.uk/ had it for bout 2 years.

Finds all fixed sites and mobile ones with radar detecter.(very useful)

If laser detection is made illegal then you can just unplug radar unit.

only problem, as above, is it's quite chunky'

Also, as a bynote their customer service is excellent. i contacted then last week to say that the gps was not picking up satellites very well and they had a new aerial to me the next day.

hth
