you have bought some great idea's into the SW region dave I for one am not trying o get at you, it just seems that some of the meets are last minute and i then cant plan around, and by some of the turnout nor can others.

It sites between the M5 and M4 interchange, so I'd call it borderline..

North of the M4 is not Bristol, just the outlying 'burbs. But anyway, all the Bristol meets this year have been south of the M4.

According to : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=49778

Glouc, Bristol, Wilt = 12

Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall = 19

Dave, I'm disappointed that you'd use that trick - I know you are cleverer than that. Using skewed stats to back up your point of view is tricksy ;) How about looking at the towns people live in and calculating a distribution based on their distance from a central point in the SW derived from the halfway point from the furthest-south member to the furthest-north member, and then adding in a factor for people who have actually turned up to at least one meet?

I agree, its very difficult to cover Cornwall & Devon as well as the Bristol area, but I find it very frustrating that people complain about a 30min drive.

It's not the 30 min drive that's the issue - it's the number of times it has been necessary.

Sorry Dave - not trying to get at you (I think you're doing a good job) - just trying to offer different solutions.

Maybe that's a good idea...! LOL

I'll get moaned at by white-zed for whoring again though if I do!! LOL

;)

as if i would u whore :D

*Jan - Bristol

*Feb - Glouc

March - Weston

April - Puriton

*May - Japfest

*June - Bristol

*June2 - Bristol - Interpro

*July - JAE

*Aug - Ross-on-wye

*Sept - bristol

Oct - bridgwater

Thats 8 Northern meets, and only 3 south of M4.

We will be having some more meets further north again, although have to remember 90% of the South West is south of the M4 and we have'nt had a meet any more than 30mins from M4.

With the next meet and the christmas party there will be 9 meets

south of the M4 this year.

the problem is not the time ,its the fule costs :( a trip to far sw can be up to

50 or 60 quid , yes i know what your going to say, it works both ways,

so splitting the meets geograpicaly will help all concerned. one in one area and the next in another area etc, etc

Dave I am not complaining, if its to far I just dont go, simple as that.

but it would be nice to spred it about a bit, if you now what I mean.

I think personaly we have had some spanking meets this year, and i hope it will carry on into next year.

any chance of having it in Yeovil?
What for? It's not great driving round here I live just down the road (10 mins) and of the two other Zed owners I know of in the area one has his garaged for the winter and the other (Heard about him when Timpson cut my Nismo blank) isn't a member?

I know I haven't been to any meets yet but that's because my Zed has been incapacitated for long periods of my short ownership. :( Nothing to do with distance. or fear of Si asking me the most surreal questions about my toilet habits

I have been in talks with the Events organiser at Haynes Motor Museum for a Planned meet there at the end of November.
This sounds like a good idea to me, a day out and I can't remember the road number but there is an awesome stretch of sweeping bends between Frome and The A303 I managed to have a scream on in a pug 307 TD. Not the most direct route but certainly the sort of thing I am hoping to enjoy in my now *crosses fingers* healthy Zed!

I have to go to Frome on Monday so hopefully I can find more details for those from the North of the catchment area! All you in the South would still have to suffer the Honiton to Blackdown hills stretch of the A303 though :nelson:

dave keep doing what your doing mate ;)

marcus stop being a bitch, just cos your not doing the job yourself anymore!!IIRC the whole reason you left the role was because you was fed up with the hassle! then why make someone elses job awkward, when you no damn well this job is voluntary

i agree maybe the meets should be spread out and yes cornwall is a bit far especially for people around the m4,maybe we should be south and they can be south west just an idea

Well said. Dave you will never please everyone but the important thing is you try.

perhaps at each meet we should vote on the next meet b4 it happens.

i dont mind the distance to bristol i must admit but i am slightly closer than allan the the gloucester guys but swindon/cirencester would be a good idea also another ross next year as some of the mids boys are interested in coming down

Arrrrrr roite I see. Christ, large area isn't it.

there on the stair

calm down guy's were all sexually frustrated so lets have a gang bang lol

I've got the Houston 620 on VCD here...pretty impressive!

I totaly agree with what David is trying to do, going to the

pub in any area is not the only thing the 300zx.c.uk can

offer for meets. I have a plan for next summer around

Cirencester involving the Water ski club. It will cost,

but traveling to an event which has an activity involved

is far more worth while, so daves trip to the Haynes

venue is definatly going down the right road.

Keep up the good work dave :smash: and we will get around the

problems in this thread in the new year as the rest of

2005 is all booked up now.

Cheers m8ty see you on the 2nd Dec
